Skein Dyeing

Originally set up for wool dyeing, over the years the department has been considerably expanded with the addition of equipment for dyeing and mercerising cotton.

The department is currently organised as follows:

• 28 cabinet dyeing vats, with variable loads depending on the material (from 12.5 kg to 1,050 kg per colour), for a daily production capacity of approximately 5,000 kg/day.
• 13 paddle (arm-type) dyeing vats, with variable loads depending on the material from 5 to 100 kg per colour; these vats are used to treat the finest and most delicate fibres, such as silk and cashmere.
